Our First Christmas

Okay, so I've jumped the gun on my scrapbooking to get this page completed even before I do most of 2009. I'm one of those scrappers that likes to do the book in order so I can enjoy seeing the book fill up with completed pages, but when I saw a page call over at Crate Papers for a layout using their designer paper I couldn't resist. Then, with a sketch in hand from a new blog I recently found called Sketchy Thursdays, I was set to create!

I don't make many one picture pages, but this one made sense. This is our family picture in our little place in Mountain View before we headed off to Montana for the actual holiday season. As you can see in the picture, Hannah is SO happy to be Mrs. Claus, right? And that's our little tree we got down the street at the local garden shop. What you don't see is the huge industrial sized tree holder that little tree is in! LOL! It cost more than the tree! But that's to be scrapped on another page. This one is all about our little family and our first Christmas as the Marmons.

Thanks for stopping by!

I love that the colors don't immediately jump out and scream "Christmas". It's simple and subtle. Great work with the sketch!
