MFT Guest Designer Challenge - White!

The ladies at My Favorite Things Stamps are looking for lots of white in their monthly guest designer challenge this month. When I think of white, I think of weddings (being a newlywed since July). I have seen a few projects using MFT's Going to the Chapel stamp set and I had to have one of my own. When I found one, I also found the Behind the Scenes set and decided for this project I would pair up the flower background stamp with a little wedding fun.

If you look closely, there's embossing ALL over the place on this project! It took awhile to do but I think the result is very nice. I hope you agree. :) I embossed the flower background stamp on white cut for the panels of my little circle box (from Michaels). Recycled ribbon from a wedding gift (Bed Bath & Beyond wraps things very beautifully) serves to cover the edges of this box and gave me the inspiration for the accent color for this set.

I then thought that a paper bow was in order. I found this great tutorial by Nathalia Castellon yesterday during some blog hopping and wanted to so try it out. I modified my purple paper with even more white embossing with the flower background stamp. I tried a bow with slightly thinner paper loops, but this resulted in more layers.  Such a simple way to create something personal!

Finally, a gift set is not complete without a little card. Now I finally used the Going to the Chapel stamp set by MFT to put the cute little bride and my favorite sentiment on a little 3x3 card.

I plan to give this set to a good friend for her bridal shower coming up soon. Thanks to the MFT ladies for inspiring me to go outside of my comfort zone and use white (and being ahead in being ready for the shower!). I hope you enjoy my entry!
