Card Kit Swap Craftiness

So three friends and myself decided to add a little more fun to our crafty lives by starting this little card kit swap. One person makes a little kit of stuff that can be used for a card (or two) and we all see what we come up with by posting our creations to our blogs around the same time. A little blog hop of friends if you will. :)

So our first card kit was designed by Belinda with some yummy Cosmo Cricket paper, square brads in yellow and green, some navy blue ribbon, and a star die cut. Here's my creation:

I am afraid that I couldn't get the star or the ribbon to fit in my design once I came up with something close to this. Maybe I'll make another card with the scraps yet for those. I did like the patterned flower paper and decided to cut out three of them...adds a little dimension. And I cut that scalloped edge twice, once from the patterned paper and once after I strengthened it with some cardstock behind it. I'm crazy! But it's the first scalloped edge I've really done and I think it turned out cute. Finally, the sentiment is American Crafts Purkey letter rub-ons.

Now, be sure to visit the other girls in our little hop (links below and on the sidebar)! I'm excited to see what they create too! And next month it's my kit's turn!

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh how fun! Love that you cut little flowers from the patterned paper and of course, who doesn't love a good scallop! Definitely worth the effort of cutting twice!
