This month Stephanie challenged us all with two 6x6 pieces of wood paper and a sketch for our projects. I had seen the wood on the MoxieFab World blog a while back, but didn't know what I would ever do with it if I had some to use. So when I opened my envelope with this month's kit I was stumped. (haha...sorry, didn't mean that..and it's late so forgive my humor)
When I finally thought of something, birdhouses came into my head. Armed with this fun little pattern, found here, I proceeded to make the biggest of the three birdhouses with the wood papers. Except then I remembered that we had a sketch! Good thing I had scraps! I then proceeded to make the littlest birdhouse for my card. :)
So here's the sketch:

And here's my take (I flipped it since my birdie was flying to the right):
Joining this project up with the Everything But The Kitchen Sink Challenge (use string), I made my little birdie scene. I thought this stamp was so cute in the $1 bin at Michaels a while back and now I finally got to use him. Isn't he cute? I also wanted the focus to be on his little heart/flower so I colored that red. Finishing off the card was done by using my "Just A Note" sentiment from my Waltzingmouse Stamps - Say It With Style set. I really do love this loopy font.
Well, there you have it. A little late on the Swapping Sistahs posting, but now complete. Thanks for stopping by my little blog. Be sure to check out the other ladies in our little group (see sidebar).
